Tony
Mosley is the instructor at the west side O.M.T. location.
With over 20 years of muay thai experience, he and his
wife, Jane, were given the honor by their trainer, Master
Lek, to open their own school .
Kru Tony has an impressive muay thai fight record boasting
only one loss. He has trained and been sparring
partner to national and international fighters and has
served as corner man in a number of tournaments, including
Bangkok, Thailand. He has always shown great
sportsmanship and drive in his training and appreciation
for the opportunity to fight. Once they opened
their school, he decided to retire from fighting and
concentrate on training his own stable of fighters.
Kru
Jane is an instructor, sparring partner and trainer.
She serves as promoter for Ohio Muay Thai fights organizing
and coordinating fighters, sponsors and venues.
She is also responsible for arranging special appearances
and events, which have included everything from news
shows and school programs to festivals and self
defense classes. Jane has had several articles
on muay thai and Thailand published. She wrote
for Muay Thaimes Magazine with her own feature column
called Confessions of a Corner Woman.
Tony and Jane have traveled to Thailand, visiting and
training in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. They continue
to study muay thai and the Thai culture. They
have a respect and passion for muay thai and pass this
on to their students, family and friends.
They have several students that train to fight and many
that are participating for health and fun. In
addition to running their school, they conduct classes
at recreation centers, youth centers, home schooled
programs and numerous high schools and colleges.
Beth
Whitehair is the instructor for the womens only class
and one of the instructors for our kids class.
Beth
has been with OMT since April of 2007. Coming in to
learn muay thai was a huge step. Beth had never done
anything like this. She still talks about how nervous
she was! From the first class, she loved us and we loved
her. She is a hard worker and a great person. She has
fought, helps with demonstrations and seminars in the
community and is one of our Ambassadors.
When we asked if she would teach the women's class,
she was very excited. In Beth's words, she "likes
being able to give someone the confidence they didn't
have in the ability to workout, throw a punch, knee
and kick. I love the fact that I am helping someone
in their journey to better themselves physically, emotionally
and mentally".
You will see Beth at just about every class. She has
become not only a fighter, but a leader and motivator.
She will tell you Muay Thai is her passion and she loves
being able to share her experiences and help teach what
she loves.
Butch
Writesel is one of our kids class instructors.
He has been with OMT - West Side since June of 2005.
Butch came with a friend wanting to do something different.
He enjoyed learning muay thai and once again, wanted
to do something different, he decided to fight. In training
to fight, he realized he enjoyed the running. What?
A fighter enjoying running?! After he fought, he wasn't
sure he wanted to fight again, but thought he would
try running a marathon and has since ran several marathons.
Butch wants to share with the kids how muay thai helped
him become a motivated and healthier person and do things
he never thought he could do. Butch enjoys working with
kids and being able to help teach kids Muay Thai. He
says there's nothing like seeing the kids gain technique,
strength and confidence from the first class.
